A SUCCESS STORY – Allures Yachting

We were looking for an ocean-going yacht which would answer a sailor's legitimate requirements within the limits of a reasonable budget, that is:

- safe in the toughest conditions,
- high-performance, and enjoyable at the wheel,
- adaptable to all moorings,
- comfortable and user-friendly,
- elegant (interior as well as exterior)

Within our budget we soon realized there was hardly any choice available. Day after day we met sailors who'd come to the same conclusions: our requirements and our dreams were the same but there were no yacht yet to fulfil them. So we founded Allures Yachting.

For months prior to reaching the conception of our boats we had hours of fascinating discussions with a wide range of sailors - some anonymous, others famous - and integrated the experience acquired through thousands of miles over the seas of the world.

Close analysis of all these experiences gave us our key principles:
- aluminum for safety,
- a centerboarder for increased freedom,
- GRP superstructure for performance, comfort and elegance.

Along these lines we have been developing a range of sailing yachts designed to fulfil all your requirements

Our range include the Allures 40,45,51 and now the new Allures 39.9.

The yard experienced an outstanding growth with a turnover almost doubled each and every year during the first six years.

With the takeover of Outremer (simple, fast, sea-worthy blue-water catamarans) in 2007 and Garcia (custom aluminium yachts ranging from 50 to 115') in 2010, our group has reached a leading position in the long distance cruising sailboat industry.

With the Allures range came the answers, An aluminum hull welded by experts whose welding processes obtain the agreement of the top supervisory bodies.

Snow and Ice Allures Yachts are still Nice

Sunday 10th we boarded the Portsmouth ferry for Caen onward to be present for the handover of an Allures 45 in Cherbourg.  These are serious Blue Water cruisers built to go anywhere at any time, lifting keels, Aluminium hulls and composite decks, beautiful interiors.

A few snow flakes were falling when we rolled off but by the time we reached Cherbourg and the Allures team it was looking very white.

The new owners with us their yacht was already under 2-3 inches of the white stuff and it continued to fall (for the next 2 days!) not only that it got colder and started blowing a really howler. 60-70 knts.

Clearly we could see the quality insulation working, snug and warm inside. There was no other option but dig in find good restaurants and weather the storm.   By Wednesday afternoon we'd literally dug the yacht free on her mooring clearing well over a foot+ of snow to find the decks and were sailing. Boy was it cold though. The performance as always was impressive and everyone was in good spirits for the homeward leg.
